Here is the world premiere of the new Post Master ELS / Embedded Lighting Systems diplomas, co-issued by the Institut d’Optique and ESTACA! The 2018/19 session will receive them for the first time!
Last Thursday December 9th, took place the Oral Defence of our ELS students’ Transverse Projects. Please find below a short summary of each one: Project 1: VIDEOPHOTOMETRIC BENCH PROJECT Accurate positioning of the cut-off line using methods specified by the regulation was presented by Changjin LEE, Juan LIBERT & Louis BEDORET. The aim of this project was to develop a method and an image processing algorithm for accurate positioning of the cut-off line of the low-beam light distribution, based on regulation requirements.
Last Thursday December 9th, took place the Oral Defence of our ELS students’ Transverse Projects. Please find below a short summary of each one: Project 2: Retroreflection of traffic-signs: This topic was proposed by our partner PSA Groupe and was carried out by Ana-Maria BEJAN, Pierre-Louis QUENTIN and Nathan CHAFER. The aim was to investigate on how to use retroreflection measurements to fill missing data area of standard BRDF measurements. This work was done in collaboration with IFSTTAR, the French Institute of Science and Technology for Transport.
Last Thursday December 9th, took place the Oral Defence of our ELS students’ Transverse Projects. Please find below a short summary of each one: Project 3: Floor Lighting Innovation: This project that was proposed by the students themselves: Marie YILMAZ, Seung-Ri PARK and Baptiste HANRION, was about dynamic road projections in departing use-case and was tested for real in ESTACA parking lot.
ELS Team @ KIT Yesterday, the ELS team visited its colleagues at the Lighting Institute of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) We were received by Prof. Dr. Cornelius Neumann, Head of Optical Technologies in Automotive & General Lighting Technology Department. This was the opportunity to draw the conclusions of the European study that we have just completed in common but also to take stock of our various theses in progress and meet Max Baumann, PhD student. Finally, we have envisaged a new cooperation for 2020. To be continued…. Previous article ELS Event 2019 ! Next article ELS @ Students [...]
